Eyeliner Styles for Every Eye Shape

Eyes On Point: Eyeliner Styles For Every Eye Shape

In a way, your eyes are as important as your soul that’s why having the right eyeliner is the best means to give your appearance a little more taste and to express your style. It may be the case that not all eyeliners are equal in their designs, which is a truth universally acknowledged especially for various eye shapes.

From familiarizing your eye type to selecting the correct eye makeup type, and even the style, you are one step closer to achieving the artfulness in your eyes. Your eye shape is one of the top features, either you have almond eyes, deep-set eyes, or single eyelids, there's a suitable type of eyeliner for you.

Here's a guide to eyeliner styles for every eye shape:

 1.  Almond-Shaped Eyes: My friend, you in your almond-shaped eyes are the most flexible of the eye shapes and can rock various eyeliner types with ease. To achieve the classic eye shadow, use a thin line and pair it with the sign over the lower lash line to define the eye.  However, the minimalist makeup should not overpower it. If you feel like some spiciness, the winged line can give you the appropriate drama you need. Whether you want to use a fine flick for the day or do a dramatically heavy wing for the night there are a few shades for various occasions.

2.  Hooded Eyes: Folded skin lying in the crease of the eye and dangling onto the lower lid results in an eyeball look that is smaller than the natural eye size. To complement your eyes and pair them with the upper eyelid lift, tightening is the best choice.  For this, use waterproof gel or pencil eyeliner. This type of application purposefully creates an accent without bringing into the spotlight the shape of eyes that resemble a hood. Don't go for thick Colourful eyeliner as it may make your eye look like one. Rather, do not place too much eyeliner on the eyes.  Instead, bring the eyeliner near the lash line.  This look will appear soft and romantic.

3.  Round Eyes: The Eurocentric standard of beauty has associated round eyes (that have a circular shape covered by a portion of the whites of the eye) with beauty. Apply winged eyeliner to the upper lash line slightly fading outward at the outer end to create length and definition for round eyes. It is with the help of it that the eyes are quite independently lifted and stretched that they seem more almond-shaped.

4.  Monolids: Lack of lid crease is one of the most obvious characteristics that even to an unfamiliar eye suggests an Asian appearance.  Monolids possess a smooth flat surface of the eyelid. To achieve the desired result for small eyes, it is better to put a smudged or smoky eyeliner, which will extend outward to the outer corner of the eyelids. This results in an effect known as “cat eyes” or elongation of the eye size, along with the well-defined eye shape. Go for soft lines instead of sharp ones.  Or you could blend your eyeliner to make it look smudged so that you would have a smokey eyes effect.

5.  Downturned Eyes: Fallen eyes have the upper eyelids that appear slightly lower and droopy at the outer edges, which makes them look like sadness or sleep. To do this, one must bear in mind that the winged eyeliner should suit one inwardly and on the outer corner of the eyes, this should be angled slightly upward. The filling of deep-set sockets (images of eye bags) offsets the tendency of eye skin to cavitate and results in fresher and alertness-imparting (imparting a fresher look and alertness).

Pick the perfect eyeliner style to outline your eyes having the same shape, as a result, your eyes become just charming. Try out various styles and test your skills as they come into play with the piece of black eyeliner.
